Notes:
The Raiders -- well, their chart is so red it looks like a crime
scene from CSI: Miami. It is no wonder they hit rock bottom with their rank of 32 out of 32 teams in 2006 as measured by the PossessionPoints stat.
One has to believe this team has no place to go but up. They managed
to win only 2 games this season, and one win came despite a solid "red" offense effect.
Call it pity or hope for the future, PossessionPoints dubbed the
Raiders the "lucky-dog" of the week for both of their
wins, a distinction we bestow on the team that won with the fewest PossessionPoints
of any other winning team that week. To follow this and other
awards, subscribe to our weekly
e-newsletter, "Points-Of-The-Week".
Looking forward to 2007, the Raiders need to improve in many aspects
of their offensive game. Making improvements in this area will help
their defense as well. The new Raider coaching staff has their work cut out
for them.
