Notes:
The Ravens scored high from
a PossessionPoints viewpoint. Their offense ranked a strong 13 out
of 32 teams, and their defense actually outperformed their peers
with a league best of 49.5 PossessionPoints allowed per game. The
Ravens were the only team to achieve a "green" defensive indicator
and only one of 2 teams to achieve a "green" net effect for the
season. With so much green on their regular season chart, the Ravens
surprised us all with their "all red" performance in the playoffs
against the Colts.
Looking ahead to 2007, if the Ravens can enhance their offense just
a bit, they may be unstoppable. The Ravens went the direction
PossessionPoints would have suggested with their draft of five
offensive players in their first seven picks including "stealing" QB
Troy Smith in the 5th round.
