Notes: The Jaguars had a very good 2006 as measured by the PossessionPoints stat. They were one of 3 teams to have a regular season average in the "green" indicator zone with 100.27 PossessionPoints per game, but their record of 8-8 caused them to miss the playoffs. They had 3 games where they lost despite having green "Offensive" and "Net" effects in the "green" indicator zone. During the regular season, teams with a green "net" effect won 90% of the time. Only 16 times did a team have a green net effect and lose, so for the Jaguars to be on the losing end 3 times was truly unfortunate.

Looking forward to 2007, the Jaguars don't need to improve their season-long "green" zone average at all. However, they do need to improve upon their 70% success rate of winning when they get a net effect in the green zone vs. the league average of 90%.
