Notes: The Washington Redskins had a pretty good offensive effect from a PossessionPoints viewpoint. While their offense was just over the midpoint of teams with a ranking of 15 out of 32, their defensive underperformed with a "red" rating of 101.8. Their average "net effect" that fell in the negative is evidence of this. It is really no surprise that the Redskins were 5-11 last year.

Looking ahead to 2007, the Redskins tried to address their defensive needs selecting three defensive players with their first three picks in the 2007 draft.
