Notes: Week 5 looks like a rerun of week 2 for the
Saints, with the same result a loss.
Week 3 - the Saints needed a statement game
to turn their season around, this wasn't it, they go into the bye week without
playing a single good game this season.
Week 1 - the Saints need to play better on
both sides of the ball if they expect to return to the Playoffs and perhaps the
Super Bowl as many including PossessionPoints have forecast.

The good news for the Saints is that the our Preseason Preview issue expected a
loss in week 1 and still get a 14-2 record. As we noted above however, they need
to play much better if they are to come close to the 14-2 above.

Notes:
The Saints' preseason results seem to show
that they still know how to pile on the PossessionPoints. We know
that teams that get to the "green" in offensive PossessionPoints win
75% of the time, and the Saints offensively were in the green all 3
games. In their 2 wins, they were in the green defensively also.
Saints' Fans can only hope their preseason performance can carry into
the regular season.
